Head of Digital Marketing – London

Salary: 70k - 80k + 15% bonus + benefits
Location: On site, London

We are recruiting for our client, who is looking for an experienced, qualified Digital Marketing specialist to lead an established team within their B2B market-leading hard surfaces specification business. This role requires full time working in their London office, with some travel across other show rooms.

The Role + Responsibilities

The Head of Digital Marketing will:

  • Manage and co-ordinate the marketing team to help create, make and implement the digital marketing plan
  • Plan and organise any recruitment of permanent and temporary staff for the department
    where necessary.
  • Be responsible for budgeting, spending, controlling and reporting on all marketing activities,
    collateral and services.
  • Report monthly on the digital plans, activities and outcomes to the senior management team
    and update the marketing team.
  • Present a monthly update of marketing activities to the sales and support teams.
  • Develop the brand in the digital environment.
  • Create brand awareness, customer loyalty and advocacy.
  • Generate project leads for the sales teams.
  • Create footfall for the showroom sales teams.
  • Create a strategic plan for company's digital marketing aims and objectives.
  • Research, analyse and report on all appropriate digital mediums.
  • Provide creative ideas for the strategic plan with the in-house team or with external agencies.
  • Create a programme and schedule of digital activities and appraise regularly.
  • Have a deep and thorough understanding and experience of co-ordinating all digital content, and create content with the assistance of the team.
  • Be responsible for the company’s marketing’s database and contact lists on their CRM system, Eventbrite, in-house marketing lists, and Social Medial platforms.
    Implement the agreed plan & make it happen.
  • Be responsible for, and have oversight of, all digital assets which includes:
    - the Website and the Outlet website (they have an inhouse website manager), digital artwork, photography, graphics and copy.
    - for all digital communications and social media platforms: such as Instagram, Pinterest, Linked In, Facebook, X, and TikTok (which is not currently used).
    - E-invitations, e-shots and e-news with subjects that would include:
    new products, projects, case studies, technical subjects, showroom events, social and interest subjects relevant to their audience.
  • Create a plan for videocasting and podcasting, and action the agreed initiatives in the marketing team, there are several marketing individuals that have responsibilities for:
    i) showroom events,
    ii) artwork and graphics,
    iii) copywriting and PR,
    iv) websites and AI,
    v) showroom interior designs and displays.
  • Responsible for providing strategic and practical support to all sectors when it comes to building influencer strategies, selection and vetting of influencers, negotiation and contracting, campaign management and best practice measurement approaches.
  • Partner with the Director of Content + Publishing and Chief Strategy Officer to evolve the agency's influencer offer and make recommendations on how they can grow their influencer team and services.
  • Oversee and lead best in class influencer led content strategies and programmes for new and existing clients across the agency, as well as being a leader for the cross-sector C+P (social and influencer) specialists, supporting their development and the growth of the team overall.
  • View ‘influence’ holistically and take responsibility for the development of influencer initiatives of all forms to drive new and current business.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of influencer identification and campaign management tools (they use Creator iQ), audience mapping software (they use GWI) as well as social platform knowledge and especially the opportunity to integrate influencer campaigns with paid media.
  • Leading and inspiring a team of social and influencer experts – as well as collaborating with and upskilling PR generalists - to achieve stand out creative work, with the ability to back up ideas with strong rationale on the behaviour of the audience and the landscape the client is operating in.
  • This role requires excellent team work not only with the marketing team but also with the sales, product and customer service directors and managers.

Desired Attributes

  • The role is a senior position within the marketing team and, management experience and skills are a prerequisite to being successful in the role.
  • The ability to communicate and collaborate at a top level with the senior management team, departmental managers and the marketing and sales staff is essential. This role requires excellent team work not only with the marketing team but also with the sales, product and customer service directors and managers.
